Hastelloy (such as C-276, C-22) has excellent corrosion resistance and is suitable for a variety of corrosive media (such as chlorides, sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, etc.).
Common Hastelloy grades include C-276, which is suitable for a wide range of acids, chemicals and solvents. Inconel alloys are often used for high temperature strength and corrosive applications, such as Inconel 600 and Inconel 601 for hot corrosion and oxidation resistance, while Inconel 625 excels in high temperature oxidation resistance and is suitable for seawater, acid and other chemicals.
Hastelloy is a nickel-based alloy containing a large amount of chromium and molybdenum, as well as a small amount of iron, tungsten and other elements. Inconel alloy is also a nickel-based alloy containing chromium, iron and other elements.
Hastelloy alloys are generally more expensive, especially in high temperature and highly corrosive environments, and are more cost-effective.
